Tannya Roumimper and Sharon Limansantoso won the Women's Doubles gold medal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in September and nearly a second gold medal but settled for the silver medal when Roumimper finished second in the Masters event.
The Indonesian women team had qualified for the 2017 World Bowling Championships after finishing tenth in the 24th Asian Championships held in Hong Kong in 2016. Teams from the American Zone (PABCON), European Zone (EBF) and Asian Zone (ABF) went through qualifications in their respective zone championships last year to take part in the championships.
The team comprised of SEA Games Doubles gold medallist, Sharon Limansantoso, 2017 ABF Tour Hong Kong leg champion, Nadia Pramanik, 2017 ABF Tour Macau leg champion, Putty Armein, 2014 Asian Games Team bronze medallist, Novie Phang, SEA Games Doubles gold and Masters silver medallist, Tannya Roumimper and debutant, Aldila Indryati.
Team Indonesia arrived Las Vegas on November 22 and had two unofficial practice session. They will try out the lanes dressed for competition during today's official practice. Official opening ceremony will be held on November 25.
